Walking Tour of Bangalore

Bats hanging in the forest canopy; they're gigantic!

I was surprised at the calm and serenity in this 'oasis' amidst the maddening pace outside this compound

Low lying foliage in this oasis

Flower market outside the restaurant

We were all excited to see the produce and flora at the market outside The Vidyarthi Bavan restaurant
Lotuses...was I excited to see these up close!

Trespassing on pigeons' dinner table :) so they scatter..

A lone cow-we learned that seemingly "wild" cows actually belong to people who let them out to roam the streets in the mornings (for food)..they wander back 'home' in the evenings.

India, extremes and contrasts!!  This was one of the most stunning, and unexpected sights ever!  At the flower market, she is begging (sadly), and leading a cow "tricked out" as colorfully as anyone we came across.
